Professional dental cleaning

Dental treatment normally starts at the dental hygienist. Dental cleaning removes the harmful bacteria sites deposited in the mouth. The dental hygienist removes the plaque and tartar deposits with a depurator, cleans inter-dental spaces, polishes the teeth and gives advice on brushing techniques, toothbrushes, toothpastes, mouthwash liquids and so on.

Why is it important to remove the plaque?
The plaque for bacteria is similar to an air-raid bunker. Despite brushing our teeth and oral rinsing with antiseptic mouthwash the plaque helps the bacteria to survive and proliferate. The result is unpleasant breath, gingivitis or tooth decay. So, we have to start the process with cleaning.

Why does plaque occur?
Plaque builds up from salts from saliva. Its quantity depends on eating and tooth brushing habits and personal susceptibility. Almost everyone has plaque, but the depositing rate and the quantity depends on the person. It is advisable to get rid of plaque in every six months or yearly. Do not try home methods (needle, toothpick) it can easily harm the teeth or the gum.
